RAPIDe has a no tolerance spam policy.

RAPIDe Spam Monitoring

RAPIDe customer support actively monitors large imported lists and publishers sending e-mails going out to a large number of contacts.  RAPIDe will review the number of successful Opt-Ins, rejected e-mails, and will monitor ISP Spam reports relating to any e-mail sent through the RAPIDe system.  Any customer found to be using RAPIDe for spam will be immediately cut-off, (or turned-off) from use of the services. Requirements to send e-mail

It is required that to be able to send Newsletters, Postcards, or Surveys via e-mail that the recipient agrees to receiving the newsletter.  This is accomplished after the upload of an email address list, an email is sent out with hyperlinks which allow the user to accept or reject receiving the newsletter. This is called the "Confirmed Opted-In system". Also, every e-mail that goes out of the system will also contain mandatory links:

1)  "Unsubscribe link"
2)  "Feedback"
3)  "Update my contact information" 

(Please take note, that these links can not be removed by the e-mail publisher.)

What is Spam?

Spam is unsolicited e-mail also known as UCE (Unsolicited Commercial E-mail). By sending e-mail to those requesting to receive it, you are following accepted permission-based e-mail guidelines.

Can I use my present e-mail list on the RAPIDe system?

Yes, you may import your present e-mail list, but only those e-mail recipients/contactees that agree to receive the e-mail through the confirmed opted–in system (COI) will receive your e-mail.

What constitutes consent to receive your e-mail?

The recipient of your e-mail has given their e-mail address to you and has been clearly notified by you that their e-mail will be used in your marketing list, usually through some type of pre-existing business relationship and they have consented prior to receiving your e-mail, to receive your e-mail.

Is there a law against sending Spam?

Yes, The federal anti-spam law went into effect on January 1st, 2004 and preempts all state laws. While this new law will not stop spam, it does make most spam illegal and ultimately less attractive to spammers. The law is specific about requirements to send commercial e-mail and empowers the federal government to enforce the law. The penalties can include a fine ($11,000 for each instance) and/or imprisonment for up to 5 years.

How RAPIDe protects you from sending spam:

• Validates the publisher marketing processes

1) Validates, why you are collecting your customer's e-mail addresses? The primary reason should be to send them information or material that they want to use.
2) Validates how you plan to use their email address which they have given you. 
3) Validates that you are following the RAPIDe privacy policy and have voluntarily agreed to it. 
4) Additionally, by accepting the RAPIDe software as a service agreement you have agreed to use only permission-based lists and never sell or rent your lists.


• Verification by...

1) RAPIDe automatically sends all of your new contacts an email for them to confirm their interest in receiving emails from you, called a COI, or Confirmed Opted In.
2) All e-mail addresses generated from "send to a friend" newsletter links will be routed through the COI system and will not be available until the friend agrees to receive e-mail from the publisher.
3) Additionally, if your contact changes his or her interests and does not want to receive e-mail going through the RAPIDe system and unsubscribes, RAPIDe system will automatically sends an email confirmation called a COO, or Confirmed Opted Out, and this e-mail address can never be used again by the publisher. 


• Allows for Unsubscribe...

Every e-mail sent out contains an unsubscribe link which allows your contacts to opt-out of future e-mails and automatically updates your contact lists to avoid the chance of sending unwanted e-mails to visitors who have unsubscribed. The footer unsubscribe can not be changed by the publisher.


• Maintains Publisher's Identification...

Your e-mail header information is correct because it is pre-set for you by RAPIDe. Your e-mail's "From" address is verified and already accurately identifies you as the sender.


• Contact Information

All of your emails are pre-filled with your contact information including your physical address in the footer.

sales@domain.com, business@domain.com, webmaster@domain.com, info@domain.com, or other general addresses.

 

3. Are you sending to distribution lists or mailing lists which send indirectly to a variety of e-mail addresses?

 

4. Are you mailing to anyone who has not explicitly agreed to join your mailing list?

 

5. Have you falsified your originating address or transmission path information?

 

6. Have you used a third party e-mail address or domain name without their permission?

 

7. Does your e-mail's subject line contain false or misleading information?

 

8. Does your e-mail fail to provide a working link to unsubscribe?

 

9. Are you failing to process any unsubscribe requests that come to you via a reply to your e-mail within 10 days of the request?


YES to ANY of the above questions likely means you would be labeled a "SPAMMER."
